Privacy policy
Pivot Up is run by Super Duper, New Zealand. This page says what we keep, why, and how to delete it.
What we keep
- Free reports. The chess.com or Lichess username you enter and the report we build from that account's public games. Anyone with the link can see a Free report. Poker Free reports keep the report only: the hand histories you upload are deleted once it's built.
- Report requests. The username and your IP address, so we can limit how many Free reports one visitor asks for.
- Your account, if you subscribe: your email address, time zone, linked chess usernames, your weekly Reviews and your Drill results. Weekly poker uploads are deleted once that week's Review is written; we keep a short fingerprint of each Hand for 9 days so a re-upload isn't counted twice.
- Payments for the USD $5 a month subscription are handled by Stripe. We never see your card number; we keep only Stripe's customer ID.
Who else processes it
- Stripe takes payments.
- Postmark sends sign-in links and Reviews to your email address.
- Anthropic's Claude writes the coaching text. It gets the positions or Hands and your numbers, not your username or email address.
- Our hosting and backup providers store the database.
We fetch games from chess.com and Lichess using their public APIs. We don't sell your data, show ads, or use analytics or advertising cookies. The only cookie is the one that keeps you signed in.
Deleting your data
Your account page has Delete my account. It cancels your subscription and permanently deletes your account and everything linked to it: email address, linked usernames, Reviews and Drill results. Copies may stay in our backups for a short time until they're overwritten.
Free reports aren't tied to an account. To have one removed, email [support email not set].
Cancelling
Cancel any time: on your account page choose Manage card or cancel to open Stripe's Customer Portal. Cancelling keeps your Review history; deleting your account removes it.
Emails
Every Review email has a link to stop them. It also ends your subscription.
